ACCEPTABLE USE

Acceptable Use Policy

The rules that govern use of Akron Logic's website, hosted and managed services, and any payment integration operated on our infrastructure.

Introduction

Last updated: 31 August 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP", "this Policy") sets out the conduct that Akron Logic ("Akron Logic", "we", "us", "our") requires of everyone who uses our website at akronlogic.com, our online ordering and payment facilities, and any hosting, managed infrastructure, application, mailbox, domain or support service that we provide.

This Policy forms part of, and is incorporated by reference into, our Terms and Conditions. Where this Policy and the Terms and Conditions conflict on a question of permitted conduct, this Policy prevails. Capitalised terms that are not defined here have the meaning given to them in the Terms and Conditions.

This Policy is not a complete list of everything that is unacceptable. It states principles and gives examples. Conduct that is not expressly listed may still breach this Policy if it is unlawful, if it harms other users, if it endangers the stability or reputation of our infrastructure, or if it exposes Akron Logic or its suppliers to legal or regulatory risk.

We may update this Policy from time to time. The version published at /acceptable-use on any given date is the version then in force, and the date above records when it was last changed. Material changes will be published on this page before they take effect, and continued use of our services after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.

Scope and Who Is Bound

This Policy binds:

  • Visitors — anyone who browses, searches, submits a form, downloads material from, or otherwise interacts with akronlogic.com.
  • Clients — any person or organisation that has placed an order with us, entered into a contract, statement of work, retainer or subscription with us, or holds an account on any Akron Logic system.
  • End users — any employee, contractor, agent, customer, subscriber or visitor of a Client who uses a website, application, mailbox, server, database, domain or other service that Akron Logic hosts, operates, administers or manages for that Client.
  • Authorised representatives — any person to whom a Client delegates administrative or technical control over a Akron Logic service, including third-party developers, agencies and IT vendors engaged by the Client.

A Client is responsible for the acts and omissions of its own end users, staff, contractors and authorised representatives as if they were the Client's own. A Client that resells, sublicenses or otherwise makes a Akron Logic service available to other people must impose obligations on those people that are at least as protective as this Policy, and must enforce them.

This Policy applies to content and conduct regardless of where it originates and regardless of whether the person responsible holds a contract with us. It applies to material stored on our infrastructure, material transmitted through it, and material merely linked or referred to from it where the link is used to further prohibited activity.

Prohibited Content and Activity

You must not use any Akron Logic service to create, store, host, transmit, publish, link to, or make available content that:

  • is unlawful under the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, or under the law of any other jurisdiction in which the content is published or received.
  • is fraudulent, deceptive or misleading, including false advertising, fake reviews or testimonials, deceptive investment or earnings claims, advance-fee schemes, pyramid or Ponzi arrangements, and any scheme designed to obtain money, credentials or personal data by dishonesty.
  • infringes any copyright, trade mark, patent, design right, database right, trade secret or other intellectual property right, or breaches any licence, confidentiality obligation or non-disclosure agreement.
  • consists of unlicensed, pirated or cracked software, key generators, licence-bypass tools, or media distributed without the rights holder's authorisation.
  • is defamatory, libellous, or maliciously false about an identifiable person or organisation.
  • is obscene, sexually explicit, or constitutes or promotes child sexual abuse material. Content of this kind is reported to the competent authorities without prior notice to the account holder.
  • is hateful or discriminatory, including material that incites hatred, violence or hostility against a person or group by reference to religion, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • harasses, threatens, stalks, bullies, intimidates or doxxes any person, or discloses another person's private information without lawful basis.
  • promotes, facilitates or provides instructions for terrorism, violent extremism, human trafficking, or the manufacture of weapons or explosives.
  • promotes or facilitates trade in narcotics, controlled substances, endangered species, stolen goods, forged documents, or stolen financial or identity data.
  • contains, distributes, hosts or serves malware, ransomware, spyware, keyloggers, rootkits, cryptocurrency-mining payloads deployed without the device owner's consent, botnet command-and-control infrastructure, or exploit kits.
  • is used for phishing, credential harvesting, brand impersonation, spoofed login pages, or the operation of infrastructure supporting any of these.
  • impersonates Akron Logic, Easy Payment System (EPS), any bank, any government body, or any other person or organisation, or misrepresents your affiliation with them.
  • is used to operate a gambling, lottery, betting or prize-draw service without every licence and approval that applicable law requires.

You must not use any Akron Logic service to collect, process or disclose personal data in breach of applicable data protection law or of our Privacy Policy, and you must not upload another party's personal data to our infrastructure without a lawful basis for doing so.

Prohibited Technical Conduct

You must not, and must not permit any other person to:

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, server, network, database, application, API or data, whether operated by Akron Logic, by another client, or by any third party.
  • conduct port scanning, service enumeration, vulnerability scanning, fuzzing, credential stuffing, brute-force attempts, or any other reconnaissance against systems you do not own.
  • perform penetration testing, red-teaming, load testing or any other intrusive security assessment against Akron Logic infrastructure or against a service we host, without our prior written authorisation that identifies the scope, the window and the parties involved. Requests for such authorisation should be sent to contact@akronlogic.com. Testing conducted outside an authorised scope is treated as an attack.
  • interfere with, degrade or disrupt the availability or integrity of any service, including denial-of-service and distributed denial-of-service activity, amplification or reflection attacks, mail-bombing, resource exhaustion, and deliberate corruption of shared data.
  • circumvent or attempt to circumvent authentication, authorisation, session handling, rate limiting, quota enforcement, billing controls, licensing controls, geo-restrictions or access logging.
  • intercept, sniff, monitor, alter or spoof traffic, packets, headers, DNS records, routing announcements or email envelopes that you are not authorised to handle.
  • scrape, crawl or harvest content, contact details or personal data from akronlogic.com or from any service we host by automated means, other than by a well-behaved crawler that honours our robots.txt and does not impose disproportionate load.
  • probe, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of our platform except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits and that right cannot be excluded by contract.
  • run open mail relays, open proxies, open DNS resolvers, anonymising exit nodes, or any other service configured in a way that invites abuse by third parties.
  • introduce code into shared hosting or managed environments that escapes its assigned account, container or tenancy, or that attempts to read another tenant's memory, storage or configuration.

If you discover a security vulnerability in a Akron Logic service, report it to contact@akronlogic.com and give us a reasonable opportunity to remediate before disclosing it. Good-faith reports made in that manner, without data exfiltration, service disruption or extortion, will not be treated as a breach of this Policy.

Anti-Spam

You must not send, cause to be sent, or facilitate the sending of unsolicited bulk or commercial messages through, from, or referencing any Akron Logic infrastructure, domain, mailbox, IP address or hosted application. This applies to email, SMS, instant messaging, push notifications, in-app messaging, automated voice calls, and any comparable channel.

For the purposes of this Policy, the following are prohibited:

  • unsolicited bulk email of any kind, whether commercial, political, religious, charitable, ideological or purportedly informational.
  • messages sent to addresses obtained by purchase, rental, exchange, scraping, dictionary attack or any other means that does not evidence the recipient's own consent.
  • messages that use forged, spoofed or misleading headers, envelope senders, reply-to addresses, subject lines or display names, or that conceal the identity of the sender.
  • messages that fail to identify the sender clearly and to provide a functioning, cost-free means of unsubscribing.
  • continued sending to a recipient after that recipient has unsubscribed, marked the message as spam, or otherwise withdrawn consent. Opt-out requests must be honoured promptly and in any event within 5 working days of receipt.
  • relaying mail through third-party servers, using disposable domains, snowshoe patterns, or rotating sending identities to evade filtering or reputation systems.
  • hosting a website, landing page, image, tracking pixel, redirector or link target that is advertised by spam sent from anywhere else, whether or not the spam itself originated with us.

If you operate bulk or transactional messaging from a service we host, you are responsible for maintaining consent records, suppression lists, correct SPF, DKIM and DMARC configuration, and complaint rates within the thresholds that the receiving networks and our upstream providers apply.

Spam is one of the fastest routes to shared IP blocklisting and therefore harms every other client on the same infrastructure. We treat it accordingly. Where we identify spam originating from your account we may, without prior notice, suspend outbound messaging, throttle or block the sending service, quarantine the queue, or suspend the account entirely. Repeat or high-volume incidents will result in termination. Costs we reasonably incur in delisting an IP address or domain, restoring sender reputation, or responding to complaints caused by your breach are recoverable from you.

Payment Integration and Prohibited Business Use

Akron Logic accepts payment for its own goods and services through a hosted payment gateway operated by Optimum Solution and Services Limited (OSSL) under the Easy Payment System (EPS) brand. Card, wallet and banking credentials are entered on the gateway's own hosted pages. Akron Logic does not receive, store or process full card numbers, CVV or CVC codes, PINs, or one-time passwords at any point, and no member of our staff will ever ask you for them.

The payment facility on akronlogic.com exists solely to collect payment for the goods and services that Akron Logic itself supplies and describes on this site. The following uses are prohibited:

  • Third-party processing. You must not use, or ask us to use, our payment integration to collect money on behalf of any other person or business, including an affiliate, a related company, a client of yours, or an individual.
  • Aggregation or resale of gateway access. You must not resell, sublicense, share, embed, proxy or otherwise make available our gateway access, merchant credentials, API keys, checkout pages or payment links to any third party, and you must not build or operate a payment-facilitation, aggregation or marketplace-settlement service on top of them. Gateway access is made available to Akron Logic for the sole purpose of collecting payment for its own goods and services, and we enforce that restriction against our own users.
  • Unrelated transactions. You must not submit, or induce another person to submit, a transaction that does not correspond to a genuine order for goods or services described on this site. This includes test transactions outside an agreed test window, invoice-splitting to disguise the nature of a payment, cash-advance or money-transfer arrangements dressed as a service purchase, and payments intended to move value rather than to buy something.
  • Card testing and fraud. You must not use the checkout to validate stolen or enumerated card numbers, to test credentials, or to submit transactions with an instrument you are not authorised to use.
  • Deceptive refund or chargeback conduct. You must not make claims to your bank or to us that you know to be false, including disputing a transaction for services that were in fact delivered and accepted. Legitimate disputes are handled under our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
  • Prohibited or restricted categories. You must not use our payment facility in connection with any business category that applicable law, our acquiring bank, our card scheme rules or our payment service provider prohibits or restricts.

Where an order, an account or a payment pattern gives us reasonable grounds to suspect money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion or fraud, we may decline or reverse the transaction, request identification and source-of-funds information, suspend the account, and make any report that the law requires. Akron Logic cooperates with the obligations placed on reporting entities and on the financial sector by the Money Laundering Prevention Act 2012 (as amended) and the Anti-Terrorism Act 2009 (as amended), and with the lawful requests of the regulators, banks and financial institutions that administer them. We may retain and disclose relevant records for that purpose. Refunds arising from a declined or reversed transaction are returned to the original payment method — for a card or wallet, on the issuing provider's own processing schedule.

Further information on how payment is taken, and on the instruments we accept, appears at /payment-methods and /delivery.

Resource Use and Fair Use

Hosting, managed infrastructure and support plans are sold on the basis of the resources, capacity and service levels stated in your order, quotation or statement of work, with prices in BDT. Where a plan is described as unlimited or unmetered in respect of a particular characteristic, that description refers to normal use by a single business for its own purposes and is subject to this section.

You must not:

  • consume CPU, memory, storage, inodes, database connections, concurrent processes, bandwidth or I/O in a way that materially degrades service for other tenants on shared infrastructure.
  • run persistent background processes, daemons, mining operations, distributed computing clients, media transcoding farms, public file lockers, torrent trackers or seedboxes on shared plans.
  • use a hosting account primarily as a backup, archive or file-distribution target rather than to serve an active website or application.
  • retain data beyond the retention period stated in your plan, or use backup capacity as unlimited long-term storage.
  • exceed a documented API rate limit, or engineer around one by distributing calls across accounts, keys or addresses.
  • resell, share or sublet a single-tenant plan to unrelated third parties without a written reseller agreement with us.

Where usage is disproportionate, we will normally contact the account owner first, describe the problem, and propose a remedy — optimisation, a migration to a dedicated or higher-capacity plan, or an agreed limit. We aim to give notice of at least 3 working days before applying a throttle or a hard limit, except where the load is causing active harm to other clients or to the platform, in which case we may act immediately and notify you afterwards.

Support included with a plan covers the service as supplied. Custom development, data recovery caused by your own deletion, migration of third-party systems, and out-of-hours emergency work are chargeable unless your contract says otherwise. Our standard support hours are Sunday – Thursday, 10:00–19:00 (GMT+6), excluding Bangladesh government holidays (Asia/Dhaka (GMT+6)); working days are Sunday to Thursday, excluding Bangladesh government holidays.

Reporting Abuse

If you believe that a service hosted, operated or managed by Akron Logic is being used in breach of this Policy, report it to our monitored abuse address:

Abuse reports: contact@akronlogic.com — please write ABUSE REPORT in the subject line.

A useful report includes the following, so far as you have it:

  • the domain name, URL, IP address, mailbox or account concerned.
  • the date and time of the activity, with the time zone.
  • full message headers, where the report concerns email.
  • log excerpts, screenshots or other evidence, with any personal data of uninvolved third parties removed.
  • your name and a contact address at which we can reach you for clarification.

We acknowledge abuse reports within 2 working days and aim to provide a substantive response — an outcome, or a statement of what we are doing and when we expect to conclude — within 7 working days. Reports alleging child sexual abuse material, an active phishing campaign, an in-progress attack, or a credible threat to life are triaged ahead of the queue and acted on as quickly as we are able.

We will keep the identity of a reporter confidential so far as the law and the investigation allow, but we cannot guarantee anonymity where disclosure is required by a court, a regulator or a law enforcement agency. Reports made in bad faith, or used to harass a competitor, will not be actioned.

Complaints that concern our own conduct rather than a user's should be sent through /contact; privacy and data protection matters should go to privacy@akronlogic.com and are handled under our Privacy Policy; general service issues should go to support@akronlogic.com.

Enforcement

We investigate suspected breaches of this Policy proportionately and, wherever circumstances permit, we contact the account owner before taking action. Our response is chosen according to the seriousness of the breach, whether it is ongoing, whether it is repeated, and the risk to other users, to third parties and to our infrastructure. The available measures include:

  1. 1.Warning — written notice describing the breach and a reasonable period in which to correct it.
  2. 2.Content or feature restriction — removal or disabling of specific content, mailboxes, scripts, ports or outbound messaging while the rest of the account continues to run.
  3. 3.Throttling or quota enforcement — imposition of limits on resource use, sending volume or API rates.
  4. 4.Suspension — temporary disabling of the account or service, with or without prior notice, where the breach is serious, ongoing, or causing harm.
  5. 5.Termination — permanent closure of the account and cancellation of the contract for material or repeated breach, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
  6. 6.Referral and cooperation — reporting to law enforcement, to a regulator, to a registrar, registry or upstream provider, or to an affected rights holder.

We may act without prior notice where the breach involves child sexual abuse material, an active attack, phishing, malware distribution, a credible threat of harm, a court order or lawful direction, or a risk of imminent damage to our platform or to other clients. In those cases we will notify the account owner as soon as it is safe and lawful to do so, unless notification is itself prohibited.

Akron Logic cooperates with law enforcement agencies, courts, regulators and other competent authorities in the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh, and will disclose account, traffic and content data where a valid legal process, statutory obligation or lawful order requires it. We assess each request for validity and scope before responding, and we disclose no more than the request requires. Handling of personal data in this context is governed by our Privacy Policy.

No refund for termination caused by breach. Where we suspend or terminate a service because of your breach of this Policy or of the Terms and Conditions, no refund, credit or pro-rata rebate is due for the unused portion of the term, and any amounts already invoiced remain payable. Fees for work already performed, licences already purchased on your behalf, domains already registered and third-party services already provisioned are non-refundable in every case. Refunds in all other circumstances are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy; where a refund is due, it is returned to the original payment method, on the issuing bank's or wallet provider's own processing schedule.

Suspension does not pause billing, and it does not extend the term. Following termination we may delete your data after the retention period stated in your contract or in our Privacy Policy; you are responsible for taking your own copies before that period expires. We may recover from you any reasonable costs, losses, fines or third-party claims arising from your breach, including delisting costs, forensic and remediation time, and legal expenses.

Nothing in this section limits any other right or remedy available to us at law or under contract, and no delay or failure by us in enforcing this Policy operates as a waiver of it.

Governing Law

This Policy, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it, is governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. The courts of the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh have exclusive jurisdiction. If any provision of this Policy is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
