Gitxen is a standalone, sovereign code-hosting platform. We believe every team should be able to run a complete, GitHub-class software platform — including its AI — on infrastructure they own.
Our mission
GitHub proved what a great developer platform feels like. Gitxen's goal is to bring that whole experience — code, review, CI/CD, codespaces, packages, security and an AI copilot — to teams who need to run it themselves: on their own servers, under their own audit boundary, with their own choice of AI model. GitHub is a friend, not a rival; we keep the workflows people love and add the sovereignty they increasingly need.
What we're building
Gitxen is one codebase that delivers the full arc of software delivery. These are capabilities that are live in the product today.
Repositories, pull requests, inline and threaded review, issues, discussions, wikis, projects, releases and organizations with teams.
CI/CD pipelines, cloud codespaces, container and language package registries, and webhooks.
A multi-model copilot, an apps/actions/MCP marketplace, and code you host and run yourself.
2FA, passkeys, secret and code scanning, dependency alerts, branch protection, rulesets and audit logging.
Self-hosted Postgres, git over HTTPS and SSH, and an administrator console — the whole stack runs on your infrastructure.
Mirror repositories in from GitHub, GitLab, Gitea, Bitbucket and any Git host.
What we value
Your data belongs on your infrastructure. Every design decision defends that.
Protections ship on, not as an upsell. The safe path is the default path.
Plain Git, portable data, no proprietary traps. You can always leave.
The platform improves continuously, in safe, verified increments.
Our story
Gitxen LLC is a software company based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, building a complete, sovereign developer platform. One gap kept showing up across the industry: teams — especially in regulated and sovereign markets — wanted the GitHub experience but could not put their source, their build logs, and now their AI prompts on someone else's cloud.
Gitxen is our answer. It takes the workflow developers already know and makes it something a team can own outright: run it on your own servers, choose your own AI model, and keep every byte inside your boundary. We are building it in the open, one verified increment at a time, toward full GitHub-level capability.
