How Akron Logic uses cookies and similar browser storage on akronlogic.com, what each item does, and how to accept, reject or change your choices at any time.

This Cookie Policy explains how Akron Logic ("Akron Logic", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar browser-storage technologies on akronlogic.com and on the authenticated client areas served from it.

Akron Logic is a Bangladesh-registered information technology company supplying custom software, web and mobile applications, hosting, domain registration, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity services, talent sourcing and training. On this website Akron Logic is the merchant and the data controller for the cookies described below. Easy Payment System (EPS), operated by Optimum Solution and Services Limited (OSSL), is our payment processor and is responsible only for the pages it hosts itself.

This policy is a companion to our Privacy Policy, which explains the wider set of personal data we handle, and to our Terms and Conditions, which govern your use of the website. Where this policy uses the word "cookie" without qualification, it also covers the similar technologies described in the next section.

What Cookies Are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. On each later request to the same site, the browser sends the file back. Cookies cannot execute code, read other files on your device, or identify you by name on their own. They exist so that a stateless protocol can remember something between two page loads.

Cookies are described by three properties that matter for this policy:

  • Provider — a first-party cookie is set by akronlogic.com itself; a third-party cookie is set by another domain whose content the page loads.
  • Lifetime — a session cookie is deleted when you close the browser; a persistent cookie carries an expiry date and survives until that date or until you delete it.
  • Purpose — what the stored value is actually used for, which determines the consent category it falls into.

Similar Technologies

Several browser features store data without being cookies in the technical sense. Because they raise the same questions for you, we disclose and govern them identically.

  • Local storage — a per-origin key/value store in your browser that persists until it is cleared. Unlike a cookie, it is not attached automatically to every request; it is read by the site's own code, which sends a stored value to our servers only where the function requires it, as stated for each item in the inventory below.
  • Session storage — the same mechanism, but cleared when the browser tab is closed.
  • Cache and service-worker storage — used by your browser and our hosting provider to avoid re-downloading unchanged files.
  • Server access logs — not browser storage at all, but recorded when your device requests a page. These are covered in the Privacy Policy.

How We Categorise Cookies

Every item in the inventory below is assigned to exactly one of four categories. Only the first is used without asking you.

  1. 1.Strictly necessary — required to deliver a page or a function you have asked for, including signing in, keeping you signed in, protecting forms against abuse, and recording your own cookie choices. These cannot be switched off through the banner, because switching them off would break the service.
  2. 2.Preferences — remember a display choice you made, such as light or dark appearance or the currency in which prices are shown. Switching these off costs you the convenience, not the service.
  3. 3.Analytics — measure how the site is used in aggregate. We set none at the date of this policy.
  4. 4.Marketing — build advertising or remarketing audiences. We set none at the date of this policy, and we do not sell or share browsing data with advertising networks.

Cookies And Storage We Set

The following is the complete inventory of client-side storage placed by akronlogic.com as deployed at the date shown at the top of this policy. Where an item is stored in browser storage rather than in a cookie, that is stated.

sidebar_state

  • Provider: First party (akronlogic.com).
  • Type: HTTP cookie, path /.
  • Category: Preferences.
  • Purpose: Remembers whether the navigation sidebar in the signed-in console is expanded or collapsed, so the layout does not reset on every page load.
  • Lifetime: 7 days from the last time you changed it.
  • Notes: Set only inside the authenticated console area. It contains a single value indicating open or closed, and no identifier.

akron.theme

  • Provider: First party (akronlogic.com).
  • Type: Browser local storage, not an HTTP cookie.
  • Category: Preferences.
  • Purpose: Records whether you selected the light or dark appearance, so the site does not flash the wrong theme on your next visit.
  • Lifetime: Persists until you clear site data for akronlogic.com in your browser.
  • Notes: Read only by the page in your browser and not sent to our servers.

akron.currency

  • Provider: First party (akronlogic.com).
  • Type: Browser local storage, not an HTTP cookie.
  • Category: Preferences.
  • Purpose: Records the currency in which you asked for prices to be displayed. Contract prices and all amounts actually charged are in BDT unless your quotation states otherwise; any other currency shown is an indicative conversion.
  • Lifetime: Persists until you clear site data for akronlogic.com.
  • Notes: Read only by the page in your browser and not sent to our servers.

ak_session

  • Provider: First party (akronlogic.com).
  • Type: HTTP cookie, path /, marked HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax.
  • Category: Strictly necessary.
  • Purpose: Keeps you signed in to the client portal, the training academy and the administrative console between page loads.
  • Lifetime: 30 days, extended while you keep using the site. Removed when you sign out, and expired on our server at the same moment.
  • Notes: This item exists only if you have signed in. It contains a random token and no personal data; the session record it refers to is held on our own server, where it can be revoked, so signing out takes effect everywhere immediately rather than only in your browser. Because the cookie is marked HttpOnly, scripts running in the page cannot read it.

Cookie consent record

  • Provider: First party (akronlogic.com).
  • Type: First-party consent record stored in your browser.
  • Category: Strictly necessary.
  • Purpose: Stores the choice you made in the consent banner, so we can honour it and so the banner is not shown again on every page.
  • Lifetime: Retained for 12 months from the date of your choice, after which the banner is shown again so you can confirm or change it.
  • Notes: Deleting this record does not withdraw consent by itself; it simply causes the banner to be shown again on your next visit. Clearing site data removes it along with everything else listed above.

We do not set any strictly necessary cookie beyond those named here, and we do not operate any first-party analytics or advertising identifier.

Third-Party Services

The pages of akronlogic.com load a small number of resources from other organisations. Each is named below with the reason it is present and a link to the operator's own privacy documentation, which governs any processing that operator performs.

Google Fonts

Typefaces used across the site are delivered from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, both operated by Google. Requesting a font file discloses your IP address, browser and referring page to Google. Google states that its Fonts service does not set cookies for the font requests themselves, and we do not use it to identify you. See Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Fonts privacy information.

Application hosting

Sign-in, account data, forms, email and the content management layer run on servers Akron Logic operates itself. The database accepts connections only from the application running on the same machine and is not reachable from the internet, so no third-party backend provider receives your account data or your session. Diagnostics are written to our own server logs and are not sent to any external error-reporting service.

Payment gateway

When you proceed to pay, you leave akronlogic.com for a payment page hosted by Easy Payment System (EPS), operated by Optimum Solution and Services Limited (OSSL). That page is on the gateway's own domain and sets its own cookies under its own notice, which we neither control nor read. On your return we receive the transaction outcome and the reference data described under Payment Data And Cookies below, and no payment credentials. Analytics, Pixels And Embeds

We are naming these individually because their absence is as material as their presence.

  • Google Analytics — not deployed on akronlogic.com at the date of this policy.
  • Google Tag Manager — not deployed. No container is installed, so no tag can be added without a code change.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel — not deployed.
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag, TikTok Pixel and other advertising pixels — not deployed.
  • Embedded Google Maps — not embedded. Our office location is given as text on the Contact page.
  • Embedded video players and social widgets — not embedded on public pages.

If we later introduce any analytics or marketing technology, we will update this policy and the cookie inventory before it goes live, and the tool will be loaded only after you have given consent to the relevant category through the banner. Analytics and marketing scripts are not loaded in advance of consent.

Payment Data And Cookies

No cookie or browser-storage item on akronlogic.com holds payment credentials. Card numbers, CVV or CVC values, card PINs, wallet PINs and one-time passwords are entered only on the payment page hosted by the gateway. Akron Logic does not receive, store or process those details at any point, and they are never written to your browser by us. What we retain against your order is the transaction reference, the amount, the currency, the status and the masked descriptor returned by the gateway. Refunds, where due under our Refund Policy, are returned to the original payment method — for a card or wallet, on the issuing provider's own processing schedule.

Browser And Device Controls

Independently of our banner, your browser gives you the final word. Every major browser lets you view stored cookies, delete them individually or in bulk, block third-party cookies, block all cookies for a named site, and clear everything when the browser closes. These controls apply site-wide and override anything set here.

  • Google Chrome — Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies and Delete browsing data.
  • Mozilla Firefox — Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data and Enhanced Tracking Protection.
  • Safari on macOS — Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data.
  • Safari on iOS and iPadOS — Settings app, then Safari, then Clear History and Website Data.
  • Microsoft Edge — Settings, then Cookies and site permissions.
  • Private or incognito windows — discard cookies and local storage when the window is closed, so you will be asked for consent again each time.

Browser-level blocking removes our preference and session items as well. If you block all cookies and storage for akronlogic.com you will not be able to stay signed in to the client portal or the academy.

If You Reject Non-Essential Cookies

Rejecting the preferences category has a limited and predictable effect. You may continue to browse every public page, read every service and policy page, request a quotation, contact us and complete a purchase.

  • The site will not remember your light or dark appearance choice between visits and will fall back to the default.
  • The site will not remember your preferred display currency and will show prices in BDT.
  • The console sidebar will open in its default state on each visit.
  • You may see the consent banner more often if the consent record itself is removed by your browser settings.
  • No feature you have paid for is withheld, and no page is degraded beyond the conveniences listed above.

We do not use "cookie walls": access to akronlogic.com is never conditional on accepting non-essential cookies, and pricing is never varied according to your cookie choice.

Withdrawing consent stops future processing in that category. It does not erase records we are separately required to keep, such as invoices, transaction references and the customer due-diligence records we maintain to cooperate with the Money Laundering Prevention Act 2012 (as amended) and the Anti-Terrorism Act 2009 (as amended). Those records arise from your transaction, not from cookies, and are described in the Privacy Policy.

Automated Signals

Browsers differ in how they express a tracking preference, and no single standard is settled. Because akronlogic.com deploys no analytics or advertising technology, a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal has nothing to disable on this site. If we later introduce technology in the analytics or marketing categories, we will state in this section how such signals are honoured before that technology goes live.

Changes To This Policy

We review this policy whenever the site's technology changes and at least once every 12 months. Any new cookie, new third-party service or change of purpose is reflected here before it is deployed. Material changes are signalled by an updated date at the top of this policy, and where the change expands what is collected, by a renewed consent request through the banner. Continued use of akronlogic.com after a change takes effect indicates acceptance of the updated policy, save for any category that legally requires fresh consent.

Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Any dispute arising from it is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh, on the same terms as our Terms and Conditions.
